Cycling Rotorua Inc with the support of Telecom as our major sponsor  and The Rotorua Bike Festival are pleased to bring you an exciting afternoon of  criterium racing on the streets of Rotorua.    Race Poster

Starting the racing this year will be the Telecom Inner City Kiddie Criterium. A short course road criterium for children age from 2 to 7 years. Separate races for different age groups, including a balance bike race for the littlies. $2 entry fee. Registration from 12.45pm, Start 1.30pm

Start in Eat Street & Finish opposite side of the Novotel,  beside the Village Green ,Rotorua Lakefront

Online Entries will be accepted until 21th Feb 2014 at 11pm

Postal Entries must be posted to: Cycling Rotorua C/o P O Box 588, Rotorua & received no later than 21th Feb 2014.

Late Entries will be accepted on the day. An extra $10 penalty fee applies

Cash only. No Eftpos or Credit Card on the day.

Registration opposite Novotel Hotel on the Village Green from 1.30pm All riders must be registered and have collected race numbers & transponder by 2.30pm

The Street Circuit will be open for warm ups approx 2.00pm

Race Briefing for D Grades at 2.25pm

Rules

Riders not licensed or novice, wishing to ride in this event is welcome to enter the D Grade race or other grades after consultation with organisers

If there are insufficient entries in any Grade, CRI reserves the right to combine grades.

If there are sufficient numbers of women entered CRI reserves the right to add a women’s only race following the D Grade at 3pm, otherwise A & B women will race with C & D Grade.

1st lap of each race will be neutralised behind the lead motorbike.  Lapped riders may be pulled from the race at Commissaries discretion.

If riders crash or puncture they can re enter the race with no position penalty on the approval of a Commissaire..

After allotted race time riders will be given the bell on the final lap

Cycling NZ rules apply to this event. Decisions made by the Commissaries appointed by Cycling Rotorua Inc. will be final.

Prize Giving will be held at approx 5.15pm in Eat Street

Prize Money A percentage of the entry fee from each grade with be pooled as prize money & paid back to the relevant grades. Field sizes will determine the placing paid too.
